CUSTOM BUILDER TURNS DEVASTATION INTO DREAM
Caledon Couple Gets New Home In Just Three Months

On November 11th of 2010, at 7 am in the morning, Wayne and Erin, a Caledon couple, had the shock of their lives when they, along with their young son Spencer, were forced out of their home by a fire and stood in their driveway as their house began to burn. Although Caledon volunteer firefighters were able to save the structural integrity of the home, the fire and water damage were more than the older home could bear. With a modest insurance payout, the couple began the arduous and often overwhelming process of having to choose the right contractor to rebuild their home.
 
In an effort to save money, Wayne seriously considered taking on the role of a General Contractor, but quickly realized that it was a stressful and complicated process, especially as it would lead right into his busy season as a BBQ caterer. Wayne's reservations were justified by horror stories from friends and co-workers of construction delays, cost overruns and shoddy workmanship.

With Wayne and Erin expecting their second child in May, the chances of having a home ready in time seemed impossible. Most contractors and builders can take from eight to twelve months to finish a custom home and some even longer. Discouraged, but determined, Wayne and Erin continued to research custom builders and seek referrals. After several more weeks, one name began to stand out from the rest. Quality Homes. The couple's new custom home will be on display as one of the dream homes at this year's National Home Show from February 18th to the 27th, at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place. The home will be delivered directly from the show to Wayne and Erin's new foundation in Caledon and will be ready for occupancy only three weeks later.
