Quality Homes

Eco-friendly Benefits

Quality Homes' sustainable approach means that every house design, and construction in our production facility minimizes environmental emissions and waste typically associated with traditional building methods. Our materials are shipped in bulk to our production facility to reduce the frequency of trucks on the highway. We follow a drywall recycling program, and reuse odds and ends from lumber cuts whenever possible. We pride ourselves in optimizing all of our materials to minimize environmental impact and waste.

Since your home is constructed in our production facility, your lot remains untarnished, and is spared months of construction debris and noise pollution.

A Quality Homes consultant can also work with you to customize your home with additional eco-friendly benefits. Although Quality Homes' designs already maximize natural light and cross ventilation and are energy efficient, you can further tailor your home's interior and exterior features to suit your individual lifestyle and needs.

Giving Back to the Community & Environment

Quality Homes often showcases special models with cutting-edge environmental features and building techniques. In 2009, we partnered with Ontario's soybean farmers and Habitat for Humanity to create the Soy House at the Royal Winter Fair. Everything from no-VOC paints and varnishes, adhesives, insulation, cabinetry, carpets, fixtures, furniture, clothing, candles and soaps featured soy. The Soy House became a Habitat for Humanity home in Acton, Ontario, allowing a family to move into a new house in time for Christmas.

Quality Homes are designed and built with the environment in mind. We know the effects of climate change are felt across the world. We understand the importance of our role as home builders in finding a sustainable approach to our business and construction methods.
